Aahung has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with department of Health and Population Welfare Department of Sindh to ensure the improvement and quality of sexual and reproductive health service provision. This MoU was signed for the duration of the entire project supported by Amplify change, to ensure sustainability of the efforts made. The inaugural meeting was held on May 23rd 2017 at the office of secretary health at Sindh secretariat.
This new MoU will help Aahung to strengthen the capacity of health care providers working in the public health system in Thatta and Badin by conducting specialized trainings on the protocols of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and services and integrated family planning counseling, which will enable them to deliver comprehensive SRHR services to clients. Thereby reducing the stigma associated with this special need among the health care providers so that the clients can avail quality post abortion care and family planning counseling in a friendly environment.
