Aahung is a non-profit organization that aims to improve access to quality sexual and reproductive health information and services in Pakistan.
Overall Objective: To contribute to the reduction in the prevalence of Child Sexual Abuse, RTIs/ STIs, including HIV and Hepatitis and slowed population growth in Pakistan.
Specific Objective: Increased and improved SRH programming in the public and private sectors of Pakistan
Key areas of focus:
- Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse
- Promotion of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights
- Equipping health care providers to better manage sexual and reproductive health issues
- Increasing awareness on and dispelling common myths and misconceptions related to sexual and reproductive health issues
Strategies and Activities:
- Utilisation of mass media to promote positive messages on sexual and reproductive health and rights
- Sensitisation and training of teachers and caregiver on CSA and ASRH
- Capacity building of health care providers and training of trainers for faculty from medical teaching institutions
- Capacity building for community field workers and training of trainers for NGO and government trainers
- Develop and disseminate information and educational materials and training tools on sexual and reproductive health and rights
Utilisation of mass media to promote positive messages on sexual and reproductive health and rights
