Aahung’s Values
| |
Respect: Aahung aims to bring out the importance of respect and dignity for all people; male and female, regardless of the choices they make and opinions they hold. It encourages respect for each other’s rights so as to evoke every individual’s highest aspirations, commitment and capacity.
|
| |
Diversity: Aahung values the concept of diversity. It embraces each individual as a person with unique needs, preferences and values. Aahung aims to teach a holistic approach to sexual wellbeing, which at the same time recognizes the diversity of moral, cultural and ethical views; and the idea that there is no heterogeneity in sexual behavior and identities. |
| |
Equality: Aahung believes in the principle of equality in accessibility to education, rights and to health care, whatever a person’s race, ethnicity, disability, gender or sexual orientation, age or religion. None of the above should result in unequal treatment under the law and should not reduce opportunities unjustifiably.
|
| |
Choice: Aahung focuses on each individual’s rights to receive information in a manner they can understand so as to enable their ability to make choices about their own life. A person should be able to make choices about their own sexuality without it impeding their access to rights and services.
|
| |
Professionalism: Aahung values professional integrity, quality and effectiveness. It encourages individuals to develop the skills to become self-reliant and supportive to others while working towards continuous quality improvement within the legal boundaries. |
